The Perfect Burger Recipe

Burgers are my absolute favorite food. They are incredibly delicious, great to explore in different restaurants, and also actually fun to make at home.
Everyone has their preferences, but here is my perfect burger recipe.

Start with the caramelized onion as they take the longest time to make. Put some (about a half a tablespoon) butter on a medium-low heated pan. Then, slice up 1 small white onion and put in the pan. All you have to do now is just wait, occasionally you can stir the onions and even add a splash of water to make sure they are releasing all their goodness. This step will take about 15 minutes.

Prepare the sauce. Personally, I believe that the sauce is one of the most crucial aspects of the patty. It incorporates all of the ingredients and creates the delicious blend in your mouth. So, in all my years of burger obsession, I have come up with the perfect secret burger sauce, and I will now reveal it to you. Start with some ketchup (about 3 tablespoons) then add some mayo (about 4 tablespoons) and mix it all up. After that, I add in a few drops of hot sauce for that perfect spice. Then add in about 2 crushed garlic cloves and finally for the secret ingredient.... about a tablespoon of pickle juice. Trust me, its the perfect touch to the sauce and will make your whole burger taste much better.

The pattyyy. I like beef burgers, and with beef, you don't need much prep. Just heat up the pan (to medium-high) and put in a generous amount of butter (really don't be scared of the butter, the more butter the tastier). Before putting in you patty just add some salt and pepper to both sides (maybe some garlic powder as well) and its all prepped. Then put in the patty into the pan (if its sizzling you know you put it in on the right time). Let it cook for about 7 minutes on one side and then 5 on the other. You juicy, delicious beef patty is ready.

Now for les legumes. I like to go for the classics, tomatoes, and lettuce. Also, if you're not making caramelized onions (shook), this is where you can slice up some red onions. Sometimes, I will add some avocado and jalapenos as well.

Here comes the brioche bun. Once your meat is done, toast your buns on the same pan, just make sure there aren't toooo many meat juices in the pan (just enough to capture in that last flavor). Don't forget to add a bit of butter as well! The brioche bun will add the perfect sweetness to the burger, which will perfectly complement all savory goodness contained between the two buns. Toast until golden-brown - on both sides!

Lastly, I like to add in a sunny side up egg. Some people find this weird, but honestly, if we are talking about the perfect burger, I can't imagine it without the egg. Just crack the egg into a clean pan on medium heat and wait for it to cook. A tip for this part is to add a splash of water into the pan and then quickly cover the pan with the lid. The water will quickly evaporate and produce and evenly dispersed amount of heat, allowing all the whites to cook through and the yolk to cook a bit as well.

Time to assemble. Take the bottom bun and with a spoon, add some of the secret sauce. Then, add the patty. After the patty, put a layer of lettuce, tomatoes, the caramilsed onions (possibly avocado and jalapenos), and lastly the egg. Then take the top bun and put some more sauce on top and close up your delicious burger!

Now that my mouth is all watery from thinking about this burger, go make your own, you won't be disappointed!
